CaribPR Wire, Bridgetown, Barbados, (17/08/2009) - What would you do with $4 Million dollars and that's only the start!
On Thursday, August 20, 2009, The Barbados Lottery will introduce the biggest jackpot game to ever grace our shores. Introducing.Super Lotto, a jackpot game with two sets of numbers carrying a whopping starting jackpot of $4 Million dollars! Tickets are $5 each and will be available from Barbados Lottery retailers islandwide.
As part of the Lottery product improvement strategy, Super Lotto replaces Caribbean Lotto which has been part of the Lottery portfolio from inception. The decision to retire Caribbean Lotto was made to allow for the introduction of a larger and more appealing jackpot while incorporating a larger consumer base. Super Lotto will also be offered in Anguilla, Antigua, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Maarten, Jamaica and Dominican Republic.
The final Caribbean Lotto draw took place on Saturday, August 15, 2009. There were no jackpot winners, however, the jackpot has been divided among the match 5/6, 4/6 and 3/6 divisions.
The new and exciting game offers players several more chances to win than previous jackpot games. It's very easy to win with Super Lotto. Just match 5 white numbers which are numbered from 1 - 35 and 1 of the blue Super ball numbers, which are also numbered from 1 - 35 and you could be our first Super Millionaire. To assist players with understanding and playing the new Super Lotto game, "How To Play"
brochures are available from your conveniently located Barbados Lottery agent.
Super Lotto will draw twice a week on Tuesday and Friday, and the first draw will take place on Friday, August 28th, 2009.
Regional Marketing Manager, Karen Mahy said the entire Lottery team is excited and thrilled to bring such an impressive game to the Caribbean. "For many years, players have been enquiring about bigger jackpots, especially after they travel and are exposed to mega-sized jackpots. We are happy that we can answer that call by providing a
massive starting jackpot while also providing them with increased chances to win."
Mahy added that the response from Lottery retailers has been awesome. "We predict an equally overwhelming response from the public when the game is launched in a few days."
