Hotel Equities Opens Kimpton Tres Ríos, the Brand’s First All-Inclusive Resort
The opening extends Hotel Equities’ Caribbean & Latin America portfolio into the all-inclusive segment and adds a new resort along Mexico’s Riviera Maya
CARIBPR WIRE, MIAMI, Sept. 22, 2026: Hotel Equities (HE), a best-in-class hospitality operator and development firm, today announces the management and unveiling of Kimpton Tres Rios – All Inclusive, a luxury, 355-room all-inclusive resort set within a 340-acre nature preserve in Mexico’s Riviera Maya. The opening marks a milestone for Hotel Equities, demonstrating the company’s expansion into the all-inclusive segment and continued expansion across the Caribbean & Latin America (CALA).
Situated along the Cancún-Tulum corridor in Playa del Carmen, Kimpton Tres Ríos sits within a protected natural park, offering a distinctive all-inclusive experience that blends upscale amenities with immersive, nature-driven programming. The resort features panoramic ocean views and elegantly designed rooms and suites, ranging from mangrove-view rooms to multi-bedroom suites and a presidential suite, many with direct pool access. Sophisticated culinary offerings span seven restaurants and five bars, including Italian fare at Bacetto and Japanese cuisine at Kotori. Six restaurants and four bars will debut this fall, with Mediterranean restaurant Elaia and adults-only rooftop bar Nebbia scheduled to follow in early 2027. The resort’s 10,000-square-foot Kej Spa anchors its wellness program, pairing hydrotherapy, massage and beauty treatments with rituals inspired by Mayan tradition, including temazcal and a signature cenote-themed treatment. A two-story fitness center offers cardio and weight training on the ground floor, with separate upstairs studios for cycling and for yoga and stretching. Weddings and celebrations can unfold across unique indoor and outdoor settings, with on-property event coordinators offering planning support, customizable menus and group room blocks.
“The addition of Kimpton Tres Ríos to our portfolio illustrates the depth of expertise we’ve built into our dedicated CALA platform and our ability to deliver the specialized operating approach a resort of this scale requires,” said Juan Corvinos, President, HE CALA. “All-inclusive operations run on a different model, from managing high-volume F&B to pricing strategy, to delivering a seamless guest experience across a full stay. Our team led by General Manager Jorge Martinez with MariCarmen Gutierrez as the Director of Sales & Marketing and Gabriel Kolofon as the Director of Culinary brings the expertise and market knowledge needed to successfully navigate that complexity.”
“Kimpton Tres Ríos represents a significant investment in one of the Riviera Maya’s most extraordinary natural settings, set among cenotes, rivers and landscape unlike anywhere else in the region,” said Daniel Arroyo, owner of Kimpton Tres Ríos. “In Hotel Equities, we found a partner with a locally-led operating platform and the regional infrastructure to manage a property of this scale, and the operating discipline to guide the opening of the first All-Inclusive by Kimpton and thus protect our investment for the long term.”
Kimpton Tres Ríos is designed with families in mind, offering programming that gives children their own sense of discovery while leaving plenty of time for families to spend together. Four outdoor pools, beachside programming for children through Club Aventuras, and the surrounding nature preserve with three freshwater rivers and 10 cenotes round out the experience, with sustainability woven throughout via guided nature trails and kayaking. The resort also carries signature Kimpton hospitality into the all-inclusive format, with touches like evening Social Hour and morning Kickstart service, extending the brand’s familiar style of care to a new category.
The addition of Kimpton Tres Ríos reflects continued momentum for Hotel Equities’ CALA portfolio, which has scaled a fully in-market operating platform under the leadership of Corvinos, prioritizing disciplined growth across the resort, lifestyle and all-inclusive segments in destinations including the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos and Uruguay.
